  • God For Us Readers Edition

    $21.99

God For Us explores the meaning of Lent, its importance in spiritual formation, its significance in preparation for Easter, and the holy season of Easter itself.

God For Us: Rediscovering the Meaning of Lent and Easter features reflections by Scott Cairns, Kathleen Norris, Richard Rohr, Ronald Rolheiser, OMI, James Schaap, Luci Shaw, Beth Bevis, and Lauren F. Winner. By delving deeply into the Christian tradition they reveal what one theologian has called the “bright sadness” of Lent-that it is not about becoming lost in feelings of brokenness, but about cleansing the palate so that we can taste life more fully. Lent and Easter reveal the God who is for us in all of life-for our liberation, for our healing, for our wholeness. Lent and Easter remind us that even in death there can be found resurrection.

  • God Rich In Mercy

    $4.00

God Rich in Mercy (Eph 2:4) is the Pastoral Resource that will be used by Catholics who join Pope Francis in the second year of his initiative, “24 Hours for the Lord.” This title mirrors the theme that will guide reflection this year.

The purpose of this resource is to offer some suggestions that will enable parishes and Christian communities to prepare themselves to live the Pope’s initiative during the penitential season of Lent. These suggestions may be adapted to local needs and customs, as is appropriate. (Please click on Preview inside pages above to become more familiar with the content of this resource.)

For 24 hours on March 13-14, the faithful will be offered the opportunity for Confession and Eucharistic Adoration in parishes designated by Bishops in their respective dioceses. It is thought, as possible, the 24-hour period could conclude on Saturday evening with the Vigil Mass for the Fourth Sunday of Lent.

During this time, Pope Francis himself will preside at a penitential celebration at St. Peter’s Basilica in order to place the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the center of the Church’s mission of the new evangelizatio n.

    Pope Francis on Confession
Throughout his Pontificate, the Holy Father has spoken frequently of the importance of mercy, forgiveness, and Confession. In a General Audience in November 2013, he said, “You turn red once, you’re absolved of your sins , and you move on.”

At another General Audience in February 2014, he encouraged his flock: “Do not be afraid of Confession! … [W]hen one finishes Confession one leaves free , grand, beautiful, forgiven, candid, happy. This is the beauty of Confession! … Jesus is there, and Jesus is more benevolent than priests. Jesus receives you; He receives you with so much love. Be courageous and go to Confession!”

  • Gods Voice Within

    $14.99

Many of us do not trust our own thoughts, feelings, and desires when it comes to discerning God’s will. Instead we look outside ourselves to determine what God wants from and for us. In God’s Voice Within, spiritual director Mark E. Thibodeaux, SJ, shows us how to use Ignatian discernment to access our own spiritual intuition and understand that the most trustworthy wisdom of all comes not from outside sources, but from God working through us.
God’s Voice Within is intended for people who know that there is more to the spiritual life than they are currently experiencing and are ready to take the next step in their walk of faith by making effective discernment-specifically Ignatian discernment-a daily practice.
Ultimately, God’s Voice Within teaches us to discern what is at the root of our actions and emotions, which in turn allows us to respond to God’s promptings inside us rather than unconsciously reacting to life around us.

  • Great Disappearance : 31 Ways To Be Rapture Ready

    $29.99

The rapture is the central event in biblical prophecy. But what does it mean for us today? How can this crucial end times event draw us nearer to God in a world that is seemingly on the brink of chaos? Political turmoil, economic uncertainty, an ideological divide that feels increasingly impassable–the signs of the times point us toward the end, and that can be disconcerting.

But the greatest truth about the rapture is not its timing, but its reality–for blessed are all who long for His appearing.

The Great Disappearance is a culmination of decades of Dr. Jeremiah studying end times throughout the Bible. In this definitive volume he will explain the meaning of the word rapture, the difference between the rapture and the second coming, and the joy of expecting our Savior to come at any given moment. Dr. Jeremiah will also explore key questions such as:

    *Who will be raptured?
    *When will it happen?
*What will happen to those left behind?
*What will believers experience when they are taken away to heaven?
*Will non-believers still have time to repent and be saved?

Dr. Jeremiah seeks to answer all of those questions and many more, not with sensationalism or stories ripped from the headlines but with solid, biblical truth. Because God has laid out His plan for us in His Word so that we might not be caught unaware. We may not know the exact date that the rapture will happen, but we do know it will happen. Are you ready for it?

  • Grumpy Old Ox

    $16.95

This new children’s Christmas book by bestselling author Anthony DeStefano tells the story of a mean-spirited, prideful old ox who has lost his sight-both physically and spiritually-but who nevertheless experiences the transformative power of God’s grace after he witnesses the birth of Jesus Christ in a humble stable in Bethlehem.

Illustrated by New York Times bestselling artist Richard Cowdrey, this new holiday book teaches children the true meaning of Christmas while also explaining the central message of Christianity: that faith in Jesus leads us to resurrection and new life.

Moreover, it shows the profound connection between spiritual pride and blindness. Like the main character in Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, this Scrooge of an ox is a slave to his own anger and crippled by his own coldness. He seems destined to live out his days frustrated, unhappy and alone-until he makes a life-altering decision of faith that brings him the miraculous gift of healing and joy.

This uplifting, inspiring book will delight all Christians, though Catholics especially will appreciate its powerful Eucharistic message. Connecting the manger in the stable, from which the ox eats his food, to birth of the Son of God, the story shows that Jesus is the Bread of Life; that he came into the world to feed the hungry, to restore sight to the blind, and to set free those who are captive to sin.

All of this is contained in a 32-page picture book that is sure to entertain and enthrall children with its adorable rhymes and beautiful illustrations for years to come.
